お願いしてもよろしいですか?

by Regina, November 18, 2019

Mei: Sam, are you busy? Sam: A little bit. What’s the matter? Mei: The area manager, Mr. Cruz, called me a while ago and asked me to go to our factory in Kobe tomorrow. Apparently, there’s a serious problem with the newly installed machine and they need a specialist to fix it. Unfortunately, tomorrow, I’m scheduled to do the maintenance check for the machines of our customers in Tokyo. Sam: Oh, those customers in Tokyo are really strict when it comes to following schedules. Mei: That’s right. However, Mr. Cruz also wouldn’t take no for an answer*, so I have no choice but to go to Kobe tomorrow. I was wondering if you could do me a favor. Since you know our customers in Tokyo, would it be possible for you to do the maintenance check instead? I don’t think they would mind if another person does it as long as their schedule is followed. Sam: Well, you’re in luck! I’m actually going to Tokyo tomorrow. I only have a business meeting in the morning so I can do the maintenance check in the afternoon. Mei: Really? That’s great! Then, I’ll let them know about the changes. Thanks, Sam! I owe you one! Sam: Sure. No problem!
